For individual teachers

Teach far past the walls of one classroom

You already have the explanations that make a topic click, and the questions that expose where students go wrong. On CyOku you can turn those into a published course — reviewed, discoverable, and earning.

Your subject knowledge, in front of students who need exactly it.

What you can build

Three content types, one authoring flow

Build any of the three CyOku content types — or all three for one subject, so a learner can go from first explanation to full assessment without leaving your material.

Courses

Structure a topic into chapters and lessons, add your teaching content and video, and set quizzes at the end of each section.

Practice sets

Build question sets by topic and level, with the answer keys and explanations that turn practice into learning.

Assessments

Assemble full papers with multiple choice, true/false, multiple answer and open-ended questions, and let learners see where they lost marks.

Publishing on CyOku

Editorial review is the reason your course is trusted

Every course on CyOku goes through expert editorial review before it goes live. That's an extra step for you — and it's exactly why a school or a parent will take your course seriously rather than treating it as one more upload on the internet.

  • You keep authorship. It's your course, your name, your teaching.
  • Editors check quality before publication, not after complaints.
  • Your content powers personalized learning for learners taking your course.
  • Global reach — the catalogue is not limited to one country or system.

Create your instructor account

Build the course

Upload video, write lesson content, add questions and answer keys with the built-in tools.

Submit for editorial review

An expert editor checks it. You fix anything flagged, and it goes live.

Reach learners and earn

Your course appears in the catalogue and can be bought by individuals or schools. Revenue share and payout terms are set out in the instructor terms.

On money: the exact revenue share, fees and payout rules live in the instructor terms rather than on a marketing page, so what you read is always the version that actually applies to you.

Questions

Before you start building

Do I need to make videos?

Not necessarily. A practice set or an assessment is entirely question-based. For courses, video helps where seeing something worked through is what makes it click — but written lesson content carries a lot of the teaching.

How long does editorial review take?

It depends on the size of the course and what needs fixing. Editors review for quality and accuracy before publication, so a well-structured course with clear answer keys moves through faster than one that needs rework.

Can I publish under a company or brand instead?

Yes — that's what business accounts are for. If you represent an education company rather than teaching as an individual, see CyOku for education providers.

Who owns the content I create?

Your rights and CyOku's are set out in the instructor terms. Read those before you publish — they are the binding version, not this summary.
